go back to nature...

My huge dream in life is to build an underground eco house. I would like to use recycled materials and be as self sustainable as possible. I would like to have my own kitchen garden, my aquaponics. I want to preserve fruits for winter in my cellar. I would like to have a goat, some chickens, couple of dogs and many many cats. But before this happens, my goal is go completely chemical free in my household.

Here are my goals:

- change all my cleaning, washing materials to eco-friendly.

- getting rid of shampoo, shower gels and face cleansers and tooth paste.

The first thing I started doing is using vinegar instead of bleach to clean the bathroom and kitchen and the windows etc. It works great!

I have substituted my shower gels to natural soaps, but it's among my plans to make my own soaps!

I am now preparing my own deodorant. It takes 3 weeks to get ready, so I will write about it more, once it's ready.

A great way to substitute shampoos is washing hair with bicarbonate of soda and then rinsing it with apple cider vinegar. It makes the hair super smooth and shiny, however until your hair gets used to this new regime; you may find that it is greasier. According to people, who have tried this it takes about 3 weeks to get used to. That is why I keep postponing it. I somehow never find a good three weeks, when I don't my hair to be greasy. However, when I run out of my shampoo there will be no other choice....

I use bicarbonate of soda to whiten my teeth with amazing results that show after just days!

More tips to come and will share my experience with these soon…
